The short term visas are issued according to the Regulations (EC) no. 810/2009 of the European parliament and of the council of 13 July 2009 establishing a Community Code on Visas.
Short term Visa can be further divided into
- Airport transit visa
- Schengen (short-term) visa for the purpose of tourism, medical, treatment, business trip, seminar, culture, sport etc.
- Schengen (short-term) visa for the purpose of study or scientific research
- Schengen (short-term) visa of the purpose of employment/profitable stay
- Schengen (short-term) visa based on official invitation
Visas for a stay of over 90 days (long-term)
- Purpose “studies” *
- Purpose “employment” **
- Purpose “business” *
- Purpose “family reunification” *
- Purpose “invitation” *
- Purpose “culture“ *
- A visa for the purpose of collecting a residence permit – D/VR **
* Multiple entry visa exceeding 180 days stay validity
** Single entry visa for 60 days with 180 days validity for collection of residence permit
